Heart of IronResist death on taking lethal damage.

This Vermintide 2 Zealot Build is designed to handle all kinds of high-pressure situations by giving you very high Movement Speed, and the ability to temporarily resist death.
The build is fairly easy to play but has an extremely high skill-ceiling. It is possible to solo almost any content in the game with this build, if you're very good at it.
Weapons
For our melee weapon, we're using the Rapier. This weapon is chosen because it gives you very high mobility, which plays into what we're trying to accomplish with this build.
Useful Rapier Combos:
- Vs Hordes - Spam LAs. If you need a little crowd control, do LA > LA > LA > PA > Repeat.
- Vs Elites/Bosses - Spam Heavy Attacks. Aiming for the head is imperative. Unlike most weapons, you can wind-up the Rapier's heavy attack by holding LMB down for longer, increasing the damage. Do this if you have time, but you can usually manage fine by spamming the basic heavy attack.
- Move-tech - Spam HAs while running forward to move considerably faster. Rapidly spamming PA makes you move even faster, but be wary of burning all your Stamina if you're fleeing from a heavy pursuit of enemies.
Remember that the Rapier also has a weapon special attack that fires the Pistol. This ranged attack has infinite ammo.
LA = Light Attack
HA = Heavy Attack
PA = Push Attack (Hold LMB while blocking)
For the Ranged Weapon, we're using the Volley Crossbow, and it's important to use the Scrounger Trait. The reason for this is a strange interaction that occurs between the Volley Crossbow and the Smite Talent (see below). I don't quite understand how or why, but it restores a lot more ammo than expected when you land the Critical Hits, making it possible to sustain for a long time without picking up any ammo.
This is also a very versatile ranged weapon. It can make short work of Elites and Specials, and it deals good damage to bosses, too. We'll focus on outrunning bosses and then turning to rapidly shoot them down with the Volley Crossbow. Against Elites, the Volley Crossbow works best when you shoot at the head at point-blank range.
Talents
- Sigmar's Herald - Damaging multiple enemies with one swing grants THP. Attacking dense Hordes with your Ultimate active is the best way to rapidly refill your HP bar.
- Smite - Every 5 hits are a guaranteed Critical Strike. Critical Hits can no longer occur randomly.
- Smiter - Boosts your damage against Staggered enemies, and the first enemy hit per melee attack always counts as staggered.
- Crusade - Each stack of Fiery Faith increases your Movement Speed by 5%. In short, decrease your green health to 1 or nearly 1, rely on THP and enjoy a permanent 30% speed buff from this Talent, allowing you to outrun pretty much everything in the game, even while blocking.
- Devotion - Taking damage increases your Movement Speed by a further 30% for 2 seconds. Being attacked no longer decreases your Movement Speed. This, combined with Crusade, makes it very difficult to be pinned down, unless you are careless or get yourself backed into a corner.
- Feel Nothing - While Holy Fervour (your ultimate) is active, you cannot be downed.
How to Play This Build
The best way to play this Zealot build is to deliberately take damage at the start of the level, reducing your health to 1 or not much higher than that. You should have 6 stacks of Fiery Faith. This gives you a 30% buff to your Power and Movement Speed at 6 stacks.
You then need to rely on good THP management, movement and dodging to keep Victor's Temporary HP high. You can use your Ultimate while fighting a dense horde to quickly refill your health bar. The ultimate can also be used to perform risky moves without the possibility of being downed.
If playing on Cataclysm, replace the Curse Resistance with Stamina Recovery.
