This is a Bounty Hunter meme build that uses the Griffon-Foot weapon to make short work of most enemies in the game. It is quite easy to play and even a player who is poor at aiming can carry their team in Quick Play, because you barely even need to aim the Griffon-Foot to deal amazing damage.
The main downside of this build is that it is bad at sniping Specials at long-range, which is something that the Bounty Hunter is usually expected to be good at. But it excels at pretty much everything else.
Weapons
Our melee weapon is the Rapier. If you don't like the Rapier, you can replace it with something else. We'll mostly be using the Ranged Weapon anyway.
Useful Rapier Combos:
- Vs Hordes - Spam LAs. If you need a little crowd control, do LA > LA > LA > PA > Repeat.
- Vs Elites/Bosses - Spam Heavy Attacks. Aiming for the head is imperative. Unlike most weapons, you can wind-up the Rapier's heavy attack by holding LMB down for longer, increasing the damage. Do this if you have time, but you can usually manage fine by spamming the basic heavy attack.
- Move-tech - Spam HAs while running forward to move considerably faster. Rapidly spamming PA makes you move even faster, but be wary of burning all your Stamina if you're fleeing from a heavy pursuit of enemies.
Remember that the Rapier also has a weapon special attack that fires the Pistol. This ranged attack has infinite ammo.
LA = Light Attack
HA = Heavy Attack
PA = Push Attack (Hold LMB while blocking)
Our ranged weapon is the Griffon Foot. This is the bread and butter of this build, and should be used when there is a group of enemies of any significant density. It fires shots that spread out in a cone, dealing heavy damage at short to medium range. It takes a while to fully reload, but can fire fairly quickly, allowing you devastate groups of enemies. Drink a Potion of Strength to increase damage against armoured enemies, and allow your Griffon Foot to damage Chaos Warriors with body shots. You should try to get headshots when possible, but precise aiming against multiple targets is not easy.
Talents
- Tithetaker - Melee killing blows restore THP. Use your Rapier against enemies if you're short on THP.
- Weight of Fire - Gives a 1% power buff per ranged magazine size. This equates to an 8% power buff for the Griffon Foot. Another option is Open Wounds, which can debuff groups of enemies with 20% more damage taken, if you land a Crit.
- Enhanced Power - Another 7% power boost.
- Cruel Fortune - Gives you one automatic Critical Hit every 6 seconds, instead of every 10.
- Salvaged Ammunition - Killing an elite while out of ammunition gives you 20% of your max ammo back. Melee kills reload Victor's Ranged weapon. This is a vital Talent. It means we cannot completely run out of ammo, and you don't need to waste time doing the lengthy reloading animation.
- Double-Shotted - This is just the best talent on this line by far, even if it doesn't fit the "theme" of this build super-well, it means that we still have excellent boss damage potential, so you have the tools to deal with most things Vermintide 2 can throw at you. Do your best to aim for a headshot to restore 60% of your Cooldown. Drink a Strength Potion to increase the damage even more. Don't be afraid to use this against non-boss targets when required. Make sure to "accidentally" hit Kerillian sometimes, too.
Note: On Cataclysm difficulty, replace Curse Resistance with either Movement Speed or Cooldown Reduction.
