This Vermintide 2 Slayer Build is intended to be easy and fun to play, while also powerful. We call it a one-bar build because we're only utilizing one melee weapon. The secondary weapon should be a 2-handed weapon, to activate the Skull-Splitter Talent, but we won't be using it at all.
This is also a bit of a meme build, because we're stacking movement speed and attack speed so high that it looks quite ridiculous, but it can push really insane melee DPS. Not getting carried away is the hardest part of playing this build.
Weapons
We're using the Coghammer for our main melee weapon. This weapon has awesome cleave on its Light Attacks, for fighting hordes, and an overhead heavy attack that can one-shot many Elites, almost rivalling the heavy attack of Kruber's Executioner Sword.
Important Combos:
- Against Hordes - Just spam LAs. Nothing else to it.
- Against Elites/Bosses - Spam HAs. Again, nothing else to it.
As you can see, the Coghammer is both effective and very easy to use. The usual weakness of the Coghammer is that you have poor mobility and a weak dodge while using it, but this problem is mostly negated for us, because we have crazy high Movement Speed.
Your Secondary Weapon isn't used. It needs to be a 2 handed weapon like the Warpick, Two-Handed Hammer, or another Coghammer. If it's not a two-handed weapon, the Skull-Splitter Talent won't work, so you'll be losing out on a 15% damage buff!
Talents
- Doomseeker - Damaging multiple enemies with one swing gives you THP. You can fill your healthbar up pretty fast in a horde by spamming light attacks, especially with your ultimate active.
- Skull-Splitter - Wielding a two-handed weapon in both slots increases your Power by 15%
- Smiter - Increases your damage output against staggered enemies. The first enemy hit in each attack always counts as staggered.
- Impatience - Each stack of Trophy Hunter increases Movement Speed by 10%. This stacks up to 3 times, and to add a stack you just need to hit an enemy, so it's super easy to do. Trophy Hunter also increases your damage output by 10% per stack.
- Grimnir's Focus - Hitting an enemy with a charged (heavy attack) reduces damage taken by 40% for 5 seconds. You can change this to Oblivious to Pain if you're struggling to stay on the offensive. Barge is another good option if you want to be better at surviving while isolated from your team, but you won't get the extra damage mitigation.
- No Escape - Your ultimate also gives you 25% Movement Speed, in addition to the 30% Attack Speed.
Note: If you're playing on Cataclysm, replace your Curse Resistance with either Stamina Recovery or Crit Chance.
